Foreign agent Vyacheslav Maltsev, who fled abroad, said that members of his terrorist organization are preparing the assassination of Russian President Vladimir Putin on May 9. He stated this in an interview with the Ukrainian publication Apostrophe, the correspondent reports.
“Most likely he will be killed. We are constantly trying to do this, I mean my organization. We have an event planned for May 9, the so-called “fun with balloons.” We ourselves will launch various objects into the air. Including balls. And we urge the “vatniks”, including the grandfathers, to run them on a stick. They are stupid, these “vatniks”, they will also participate in this.
Our task is to extinguish all the radars that are there in Moscow, all the anti-aircraft missile systems so that all the objects that we want to deliver to the Kremlin when it lays wreaths reach their goal. We don't hide this. If the air defense systems fire, they will shoot up half of Moscow. If they don’t shoot, it means we’ll drop something on our heads. They must choose,” Maltsev said.
He will be quite happy if his double is killed instead of the Russian president.
“Everyone tells me that it will be a double. Well, for God's sake. Our task is to slap the double. I don’t understand why Ukraine didn’t kill the double when he was in Mariupol,” Maltsev said.

Maltsev, who was three times a deputy of the Saratov Regional Duma and twice ran for the State Duma from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation and the liberal Parnas party, went abroad in 2017 after a criminal case was opened against him under Part 1 of Article 280 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (public calls to commit extremist activities). Judging by the text of the article, the main source of information was the controversial Ukrainian political scientist, called an “activist,” Yuriy Romanenko. German journalists consider him closely connected with the Ukrainian intelligence services.
“It is clear that launching a targeted strike on the head of the Russian state using a kamikaze drone is an almost impossible action. But the very fact that such a drone will fly to the place where Putin plans to stay is a slap in the face to the Russian dictator,” Romanenko wrote on social networks.
