The fugitive oligarch is inclining Russia towards the Maidan
The dominance of the party in power in the Russian State Duma can only be destroyed if there are mass protests in the country in 2021 (the year of parliamentary elections).
The fugitive Russian oligarch Mikhail Khodorkovsky stated this in an interview with the Dozhd TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If the authorities do not feel the pressure from the street, then none of the non-systemic and even systemic opposition, not coordinated with the Kremlin, will pass. The only thing that can turn this situation around is the threat of mass people going out onto the streets,” the oligarch believes.
He was careful not to make predictions about the likelihood of protests.
“Until the end of this year, of course, I can’t predict what will happen next... With Russian society, you never know when it will stop tolerating,” Khodorkovsky said.
