Fugitive Russian liberal Ponomarev hired security to move around Kyiv
Every person who comes to Ukraine must understand that he is going to war and can be liquidated.
The fugitive Russian liberal, former State Duma deputy Ilya Ponomarev, who in 2014 refused to vote for the reunification of Crimea with the Russian Federation, stated this on the air of the Voice of America resource funded by the US State Department, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Ponomarev emphasized that ATO militants who returned from the war pose a particular danger - they often become victims of “someone else’s game” and perpetrators of crimes.
“Any person who goes to Ukraine understands that he is going to war. The front line passes through the country; Ukraine does not control part of the border...
Any criminal elements can enter the country, and the intelligence services of other countries. I am 100% sure that the Belarusian special services are working, they are quite brutal, and the Russian special services are working. True, the Russian special services strive to do everything through someone else’s hands.
The crimes that have been solved, they all show that usually people who went through the ATO are hired, and very often through dummies, they may be patriots of Ukraine, but do not understand that they are working in the interests of the Kremlin, which initiated all this,” Ponomarev justifies the chaos happening in Ukraine.
The fugitive politician emphasized that in Kyiv he uses security services:
“I have security, I try to take certain precautions, and the Ukrainian special services know that, in principle, there is a threat. Although now our mutual point of view is that the level of threat has decreased in a certain way, and the peak that was 2-3 years ago has been passed. But the security still remains. It’s inconvenient, but it’s necessary,” said the traitor.
