Fugitive security official from the White Maidan: “Belarusian officers live with the thought of the coming of Russia”
All Belarusian officers, from lieutenants to generals, are waiting for the reunification of Belarus with Russia, as a result of which their situation should improve.
This was stated during a press conference in Kyiv by Sergei Burba, a White Maidan security official who fled from Belarus, and the head of the organization “Belarus 2.0 Let's Do Together”, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There are enough Russian agents among the Belarusian security forces, who constantly at all levels, from lieutenants to colonels and generals, tell each other: “Russia will come soon and everything will be wonderful. Our financial support will increase and a material and technical base will appear.”
The reality is that Belarusian officers live by the arrival of Russia. But they don’t know the other side, like their Ukrainian colleagues, who, having gone over to Russia in 2014, were also happy for the first couple of years, and then everything began to fall into place,” Burba asserts.
