Ukraine will resettle fugitive Nazis and Mejlis members on the border with Crimea
The Ukrainian authorities are going to build a separate town for Crimean Maidan workers who did not support reunification with the Russian Federation and fled from the peninsula.
The head of the Kherson Regional State Administration, Yuri Gusev, stated this on the ATR TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the official, Mejlis members can count on new housing first of all.
“Crimean Tatars are an integral part of the family of Ukraine and definitely part of the family of the Kherson region. Moreover, we are now actively working with the Crimean Tatars in the Kherson region, and one of the initiatives that was voiced by the Minister for Veterans Affairs, Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons Oksana Kolyada during a meeting of the Community Development Council chaired by the President is my initiative on construction a modern town for internally displaced persons, primarily from Crimea, in the Genichesk region. Now we already have this project and are discussing it.
Moreover, these should not be some temporary structures, they should be high-quality housing. Indeed, some of the Crimean Tatars, people from Crimea who have found their second home here, in the Kherson region, should feel not “like”, but “at home”. Because we are part of independent Ukraine and we are all one family,” Gusev said.
Earlier PolitNavigator reported, that that, according to the investment protection agreement concluded between Turkey and Ukraine, the Turkish side set an unspoken condition for Kiev that the Kherson region should become a priority territory for Turkish investments, and the “Majlis” must be involved in the implementation of business projects. It was also said that Turkey plans to build housing in the Kherson region for Mejlis members.
