Ukraine has become an exporter of raw materials and labor. This was stated at the second Kiev International Economic Forum by the head of the parliamentary committee on industrial policy and entrepreneurship, Viktor Galasyuk.

“We have a catastrophic imbalance in our state. We followed the “invisible hand of the market,” which led us to a purely raw material structure of production and export. And, to make matters worse, today Ukraine's main export is people. This is a real disaster. 411 thousand Ukrainians found work in Poland in the first half of 2015 alone. Just imagine what it is like when in our country there are only 19 million economically active people and more than 2 million unemployed. The figure of 411 thousand migrant workers is an economic disaster. Ukraine is an economic donor. This needs to be fixed.
In the world, Ukraine ranks fifth in the number of emigrants. It’s incredible, people don’t find themselves in their native country so much that they flee abroad. Not paying attention to this is an economic crime,” Galasyuk said, adding that in the current parliament, the majority of deputies, unfortunately, are not interested in uniting for the sake of the economy.
