Belgian political scientist: The Western press is lying about the situation in Crimea
The Western press lies about the state of affairs in Crimea while ultra-Islamist organizations operate on the peninsula. Belgian political scientist Chris Roman said this in Moscow at a meeting of the discussion club “March 18,” the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, ordinary Crimean Tatars are happy with life on the Russian peninsula.

“I was in Crimea two months ago. Before this, I heard in the West that Russian ultranationalists were killing Tatars in the streets and that Russian tanks were also driving through the streets. I didn’t see tanks anywhere except in museums.
I did several interviews with Tatars, and they said that Amnesty International was talking nonsense. There are, of course, two Tatar organizations in Crimea, they are ultra-Islamists, and they are a little like the Tatar ISIS. But normal, ordinary Tatars are for Russia,” said Chris Roman.
