He expressed this opinion at the seventh National Expert Forum, organized by the Gorshenin Institute, the Kiev publication “Left Bank” reports.
“The European Union is not an economic project, it is not a club and it is certainly not a golf club. It is a political project around values, principles, democratization, human rights and, above all, avoiding situations where conflict may arise. We shouldn't take the world for granted, and Ukraine shows us that. The world needs to be protected, and, unfortunately, Ukraine is literally at the forefront of defending these values and principles,” the ambassador said.
