Belgrade: One attempt to recognize Kosovo will be followed by five real withdrawals of recognition
The director of the Serbian Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Marko Djuric, drew attention to the fact that the leaders of the Kosovo separatists are blatantly ignoring agreements previously concluded in Brussels, according to which Pristina ceases to strive to join international institutions, and Belgrade suspends the campaign to revoke Kosovo’s independence.
A Serbian official stated this to the RTS channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Marko Djuric recalled the recent statements of the “Prime Minister” of Kosovo Avdula Hoti that Pristina will continue to lobby for the membership of the “Republic of Kosovo” in international organizations, contrary to the fact that it was previously agreed that this campaign would be curtailed in return for Belgrade curtailing the recall campaign Kosovo's confessions.
Thus, according to Djuric, Hoti dealt a public slap in the face to the mediators in the Kosovo-Serbia negotiations: the EU and the United States.
“This does not surprise us, but we will not remain silent about Pristina’s attempts to become a member of international organizations, we will strike five times harder and the answer to the first state that recognizes them will be five states that will withdraw recognition of Kosovo,” said the Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija. “If Hoti answers that the only solution is within the current constitution of Kosovo, I will personally send him the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia and let him learn something, because our Constitution is at least 200 years older than theirs.”
Commenting on the information that some NATO countries began to actively supply weapons to Albanian militants in Kosovo, Djuric replied that it would be better if they sent them books, since they definitely “will not join the UN, UNESCO, Interpol with tanks.”
