Belomaidan will not end even if Lukashenko leaves
Protests in Belarus will not stop until anti-Russian forces come to power.
Deputy Chairman of the Belarusian Republican Party of Labor and Justice Elvira Mirsalimova stated this in an interview with the PolitWera Youtube channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Even if Lukashenko leaves, the protests will not stop. Because the goal of the protests is not so much to remove Lukashenko, but so that those people who will turn Belarus away from Russia come to power. They will repeat the actions that took place in Ukraine.
Suppose Lukashenko left. Some pro-Russian candidate comes, a strong systemic politician, so the protests will end? Of course not. The goal is to tear Belarus away from Russia,” Mirsalimova.
