Belomaidan is moving from the “velvet” stage to radicalization - Alexander Kots
The Belarusian Maidan is moving to a more aggressive stage, not only in accordance with the manual according to which color revolutions are carried out, but also pushed towards such development by illiterate actions of the authorities.
Russian military correspondent Alexander Kots said this on the YouTube channel “PolitWera”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“Everywhere everything is the same, everywhere everything goes according to the same scenario, according to the same training manuals. If these manuals work, then why change them?
Now the first stage is underway, velvety, with beautiful-hearted youth, kind, cheerful performances, with good slogans that everyone understands - for freedom of speech, for fair elections, for freedom of the media, and so on.
This is the case everywhere - in Libya, for example, I remember in Benghaz at the rebel headquarters on the school board all these demands were hanging, but we all know very well what is happening with Libya now.
On the Ukrainian Maidan everyone said that they were for freedom against the oligarchs, but so what? Nothing has gone anywhere, and freedom is even worse, for dissent - look how many people are imprisoned for treason in Ukraine,” the journalist said.
According to him, the first stage of the color revolution in Belarus is happening much more slowly than in Ukraine, since the Ukrainians had not their first Maidan in 2013-2014, and they moved much more sharply to radicalization.
“Everything here is somewhat drawn out, but, nevertheless, the first stage, it seems to me, is coming to an end... People are kind, very law-abiding, during the month of protests one window was broken, and even then it was broken by the police. They stand on benches in their socks, they have a march, and along the entire march there are garbage bags hanging. They held a rally in the square and put things in order.
That is, these are not Ukrainians, of course. But gradually, of course, they become stale. And in many ways, including thanks to the actions of the security forces, the police, thanks to arrests, thanks to the absence of at least some clear response to the request (regarding changes and punishment of those responsible for torture, - ed.) quite an impressive part of society,” added Alexander Kots.
