White Maidan activists are beginning to undermine the country’s financial system
Supporters of the Belarusian opposition are calling for actions that will hit the country's financial sector.
Special correspondent Dmitry Steshin writes about this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, in Komsomolskaya Pravda.
He noticed that on the telegram channel “Nexta”, which is coordinating the protests, which is administered from Poland, a manifesto of a certain “Vladimir Kavalkin” appeared, who said that he had withdrawn all the money from the accounts and transferred them into foreign currency, and also stopped paying taxes and terminated contracts to TV, radio and cellular communications.
“About a million people have already read the Kavalkin manifesto. If there are at least a hundred thousand followers, this will be noticeable on the scale of small Belarus. In the meantime, people can expect an increase in prices for all imports (from cars to electronics) due to pressure on the exchange rate of the Belarusian ruble. Is the “regime” and Old Man to blame for this? The question is rhetorical,” writes Steshin.
