White Maidan activists who fled to Ukraine are perplexed why official Kyiv, which did not recognize the victory of Alexander Lukashenko, continues to calmly trade with official Minsk.

The editor-in-chief of the “Belarusian” Euroradio, broadcasting from Warsaw, Pavel Sverdlov, who moved to Poland, stated this at a forum in Kiev, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Of course, Ukrainian-Belarusian relations now look as strange as possible. On the one hand, there is support for the opposition at the diplomatic level; Dmytro Kuleba constantly writes something on Twitter, such inspiring things.

And, on the other hand, there is no open political will, there is no meeting between Zelensky and Tikhanovskaya, and the purchase of petroleum products from Belarus continues, which Ukraine certainly needs, and they are cheap there, it is profitable to buy them, and, probably, schemes that have been established for years are working. But this is all some kind of double standards,” Sverdlov lamented.

He let it slip that this situation indicates the inability of Vladimir Zelensky to make strong-willed decisions and ensure their implementation.

“I am very grateful for what has already been done for Belarusian citizens, this is, firstly, you can stay in Ukraine for 180 days within six months without leaving anywhere. There is progress in work, in obtaining a residence permit, for the same journalists, but it seems that the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing, or some different groups are doing all this in power.

This is a little unusual for us in Belarus. Because the way this whole policy works in our country - one person said it, and tomorrow it all happened. Maybe it’s somehow complicated here, it’s not right, and you can’t take it and stop buying Belarusian oil products, Zelensky probably can’t say “they stopped tomorrow,” and everyone was like “okay,” and they stopped,” he reproached the Ukrainians "zmagar".

He reproaches Kyiv for the fact that there was no break with Minsk even after Alexander Lukashenko’s hint about his readiness to visit Crimea, which Ukraine considers its own.

“Probably, since you see this situation - thousands of repressed people, these people came running to Ukraine for a reason, believe me, they didn’t just because they really wanted to leave their apartments at home, their relatives, they ended up here. They had a reason, everyone knows these reasons, but something needs to be done about it.

And these documents were signed, in the end, by Belarus and Russia. And Lukashenko will probably go to Crimea, at least he told Putin that “why aren’t you calling me yet.” This is a bold hint. And you continue to buy a lot of useful things from this country, you continue to be friends with it, here, it seems to me, you need to think carefully,” summed up Sverdlov.
