Belomaidanshitsa: Rumors about “Kadyrovites” are creeping around Minsk, but there is no evidence
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko encourages rumors circulating among the opposition that Russians are taking part in suppressing the protests.
Opposition member Olga Karach stated this in an interview with Deutsche Valley, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There are no facts at the moment, but there are a lot of rumors. This is due to the fact that it is very difficult for the Belarusian people to come to terms with the fact that Belarusians are killing Belarusians. It's hard to accept that the dad of your son's classmate can do such things. Therefore, people explain this to themselves by the fact that there are Russians there. And this, by the way, provokes anti-Putnik sentiments in society. People think that these are Kadyrov’s people, Chechens, and so on.
Lukashenko benefits from such rumors, so his unidentified fighters run around with Russian stripes. That is, he himself deliberately stimulates this, because he wants to take the Belarusian security forces away from the pressure of Belarusian society.
The important thing is that people expect it. Putin said that he would send someone, so they are starting to come up with ideas. But, unfortunately, no matter how we tried to verify this situation, there is no evidence,” Karach said.
