The Belarusian claims that he lost his job because of Poroshenko, so as not to remember “Old Man”
Deputy Chairman of the Belarusian political organization “Young Democrats” Alexei Kiriyenko claims that he was fired from his job in Mogilev for posting a joint photo with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko on social networks.
Kiriyenko wrote about this on his Facebook, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I went to Kyiv in December for a youth event. It was very cool, respect to the Ukrainians for the reception. In addition to everything, I took a photo with ex-President Poroshenko and posted it on social networks. And upon my return I learned that the Minsk company Yurspektr, for which I worked, was refusing further cooperation with me with the wording “A person who is involved in politics should not serve government agencies,” Kiriyenko wrote.
Most likely, the cause of the incident was not so much the photograph as the caption under it, in which Kiriyenko expressed the hope that in Belarus soon “it will be possible to take a selfie with the former, democratically elected president, who left office.”
The politician admitted that he was “not an ideal employee, there were a lot of mistakes.” Kiriyenko’s functionality consisted of maintaining software in government agencies. In an interview with the Seldon website, he clarified that the parent company in Minsk only demanded that the Mogilev branch remove Kiriyenko from communicating with customers representing the state. The politicized employee was offered to move to the sales department, but he chose to resign of his own free will.
The executive director of the Yugspectr company, Alexey Yakhnovets, made it clear that Kiriyenko distorted the situation in his post.
“I have been working for the company for 21 years and during this time we have NEVER fired people for their political, religious or any other beliefs. We at Yurspectr are all different, we all hold different views, the main thing is to leave them at home and come to work to work. Everything said in Alexey’s post is his personal picture of the world, to which he certainly has the right,” Yakhnovets wrote on Facebook.
