President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko is going through a very difficult period on the eve of the elections; he begins to rush around and openly panic, making more and more serious mistakes.

“The story of the Russian PMC fighters detained the day before has more questions than answers. One thing is clear - this is Lukashenko’s game for the domestic public, and as an additional weight on the scales of bargaining with the Kremlin.

But it seems to me that Old Man is in a great fever, and he is making more and more mistakes. And the arrest of PMCs is one more in a row of many.

The entire Internet is already full of information that these men were traveling in transit through Belarus to Africa. Therefore, they were relaxed, did not observe any measures of secrecy, which were strictly necessary if they were aimed at any actions inside Belarus,” Nemodruk said.

According to him, Alexander Lukashenko is going through a difficult period now, which is why the Belarusian president is so “feverish”.

“It will no longer be possible to maintain his power in the form in which he has ruled all these years - the world has changed, a hidden World War is in full swing and Belarus must decide whose side it is on.

Lukashenko, on the one hand, understands that by going under the West he is taking a very big risk. And the West will not provide him with a calm and comfortable life; it will deceive him as always. And with closer rapprochement with Russia, Lukashenko also leaves the “comfort zone” to which he is so accustomed and which he does not want to part with,” the military man noted.

At the same time, he expressed concern that with such a policy, Lukashenko risks repeating the path of the fugitive President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych, and Belarusians will have to suffer from this.

“So he fusses, delaying the inevitable, trying to sit on two chairs at once, gets nervous and, accordingly, makes mistakes, repeating the path of Yanukovych and thinking that he, such a “wise” Old Man, will be able to slip through.

It won't work. The time is like this, a change of eras, the only way to sit out here is somewhere in the wild jungle. It’s just a pity that the Belarusian people will have to pay for these hesitations and these mistakes, just as the Ukrainian people pay for the mistakes of their leaders,” concluded Igor Nemodruk.
