Belarus keeps Poland from sending military personnel to Ukraine
The most important task of Belarus is to create a threat to Poland.
Deputy President of the Russian Academy of Missile and Artillery Sciences Konstantin Sivkov stated this in an interview with the Belarusian news agency, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Poland has 4 combat-ready divisions, and Belarus is sharply reducing the scale of Poland’s actions in the conflict in Ukraine. Hanging over Poland, it forces the Poles to devote an overwhelming amount of forces to contain Belarusian pressure.
Under these conditions, they still have contingents of up to 20 thousand, which they could throw at Ukraine. These are two full-blooded divisions, but compared to the allied forces of Russia (70 thousand) this is not much. Moreover, the Poles do not have modern weapons; the West does not provide them,” said Sivkov.
If the West suddenly launches a full-scale invasion, all the forces of Belarus and Russia will move forward, the expert believes. However, now, in his opinion, the West is not ready for such actions.
