Belarus benefited from the crisis in Ukraine
Belarus benefited the most from the Ukrainian crisis. Political scientist Kost Bondarenko stated this on Capital TV.

This, according to him, is evidenced by the organization of air traffic through Belarus to Russia, the strengthening of the country’s international role and the growth of the rating of President Alexander Lukashenko.
“Belarus has benefited greatly from the Ukrainian conflict over the past two years. If it weren’t for Maidan, I don’t think Lukashenko would have a rating of 83%. I think that Belarusians simply looked at Ukraine, at the consequences of the Maidan and realized that Lukashenko was better,” Bondarenko said.
As an example, he cited the situation with the flight ban on Russian airlines.
“The President was horrified by Yatsenyuk’s decision (to ban air travel - author). Moreover, Yatsenyuk accepted it, most likely, more emotionally, rather than carefully. Accordingly, the only ones who benefited from this decision were Belarusian airlines. Personally, I flew to Moscow, and I intend to do so. I fly to Moscow and Europe quite often. But now I will fly through Minsk, and not Ukrainian airlines, but Belarusian ones will make money from this,” Bondarenko said.
