Belarus is being persuaded to unite with Ukraine and play on the conflict between Russia and Turkey
Belarus could take advantage of the worsening situation in the Syrian province of Idlib to negotiate the supply of Iranian oil through Turkish ports.
Political scientist Igor Tyshkevich, who fled from Belarus to Ukraine, stated this on his YouTube channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There is Belarus, which likes to make money on such things. There is an oil and gas conflict with the Russian Federation. Iran is oil, Türkiye is ports.
Considering the cooling of relations between Iran and Turkey with the Russian Federation, one can hope that the Belarusian embassy will work on the purchase of alternative Iranian oil.
And given that Iran is under sanctions and the oil will be customs-marked as Turkish, it will be cheaper than world prices. This oil can be transported through the territory of Ukraine via the Odessa-Brody oil pipeline,” Tyshkevich proposes a “scheme.”
In his opinion, Ukraine and Belarus should act as a united front on this issue.
