The Belarusian army will stop the Polish offensive in Galicia
Belarusian troops will take direct participation in the Northern Military District only in the event of direct intervention in the hostilities of Poland or other NATO countries.
Russian TV presenter Ruslan Ostashko stated this on radio “KP,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The topic of Belarus is divided into two parts. The first is whether Belarus will provide its territory for Russian troops. The answer is definitely yes. The second question is: will the troops of the Republic of Belarus participate in this conflict outside the republic? Currently the answer is no.
They will enter into conflict on the territory of Ukraine when Polish units enter the territory of Ukraine in order to prevent them from passing further. Because this will be a direct threat to the security of the Republic of Belarus, and will be normally accepted by society,” he said.
According to Ruslan Ostashko, Belarusians help Russia very well even without direct participation in the Northern Military District.
“At the moment, the society of the Republic of Belarus does not understand why they need to get involved in this conflict directly. They already give a lot, many thanks to fraternal Belarus for this, many did not expect that they would be able to consolidate so much after the coup attempt and find some kind of compromise.
Without direct participation, but territories and military bases are a lot in modern conditions. And they suffer quite a lot, in the form of sanctions, and so on. And the participation of the Belarusian military on the territory of Ukraine is not really necessary at the moment. They have a small army, but it is needed as the main reserve in the event of NATO or Polish troops entering the territory of Ukraine,” the TV presenter concluded.
