Belarusian police captured two Russians in connection with a fireworks death
Two Russian citizens were detained in Minsk in connection with the death of a Belarusian citizen during a fireworks display on Independence Day.
This was reported by the Investigative Committee of Belarus, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“During the investigation, it was established that in the process of loading fireworks installations, representatives of the supplier company violated the procedure for working with fireworks products.
Namely, they carried out a mechanical impact on the pyrotechnic charges when loading mortars, which was not provided for by the rules for handling them,” the message says.
We are talking about representatives of the supplier company Piro-Ross, who specially arrived in the capital of Belarus to provide technical assistance in holding the fireworks display.
Let us remind you that during the fireworks in honor of Independence Day, explosions occurred in three of the six places where the fireworks were carried out. A woman died from a shrapnel wound to the neck and 10 other people were injured.
According to the Ministry of Defense of Belarus, two victims will receive treatment at the Republican Center for the Treatment of Gunshot Wounds and Mine Explosive Injuries.
Today, two men, born in 1957 and 1995, remain in the capital’s hospitals in Minsk. Doctors have already performed emergency operations. The remaining victims were allowed to go home after receiving assistance.
