Belarusian nationalists deprived a provincial blogger of her prize
The sports school of the Belarusian regional center of Klimovichi retroactively deprived teacher and track and field athlete Inna Kordabneva of her award, who had the imprudence to speak critically about studying the Belarusian language at school in her video blog.
This was reported by the organ of Belarusian nationalists “Nasha Niva”, a correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“The school administration deprived the teacher of bonuses. There is no result yet from the legal proceedings. There were several complaints against the teacher, both verbal and sent via the Internet,” said Ravil Sobirov, head of the sports and tourism sector of the Klimovichi regional executive committee.
The entire opposition press of Belarus wrote about Kordabneva’s ill-fated video. Zmagar activists hounded her on social networks. After this, the district executive committee asked for a reference for the teacher, and Inna herself was summoned for an educational conversation.
She removed the video from the network and apologized for the excessively rude language.
Let us note that persecution of dissidents has become commonplace in Belarus.
Early in March in Minsk, a nationalist caused a scandal in one of the sports clubs because a Russian citizen who worked there was unable to serve him in Belarusian.
In February, nationalist-minded youth of Minsk staged a mocking flash mob in a coffee shop at the Kommunarka confectionery factory after one of them wrote on social networks that they rudely refused to serve him in Belarusian. Later it turned out that the young man lied.
In January, nationalists forced to dismiss and fined a Belarusian IT specialist through the court, who spoke unflatteringly about the Belarusian language on social networks.
In addition, the public demanded that the display of videos in Russian in Minsk minibuses be cancelled.
In August 2019, Belarusian nationalists began harassing a citizen who opposed the placement of a provocative poster in the Minsk metro.
And in May, the Belarusian opposition artist Ales Pushkin filed a complaint with the prosecutor's office of the city of Krupki against Pavel Chirkov, an employee of the Evroopt store, who refused to speak Belarusian with him.
