Belarusian political scientists are shocked by Lukashenko’s decision to broadcast Ukrainian TV
Ukraine will launch broadcasts of its TV channel to Belarus in one or two months in accordance with the agreements between Petro Poroshenko and Alexander Lukashenko. Ukrainian Information Minister Yuriy Stets stated this on the talk show “A Matter of Principle” on Belarusian TV.

According to him, this TV channel will broadcast Kyiv’s position on the Ukrainian crisis to Belarus. This is how Stets answered a question from Belarusian political scientist Alexander Klaskovsky about what caused the hitch in the launch of the TV channel announced back in December.
“We have two technical problems. The first is the approval of documents, and the second is the channel that I am now trying to create and launch, which is called “Ukraine Tomorrow”... I hope that within a month or two we will launch it, and you will see it in Belarus,” Stets noted.
This statement caused bewilderment among the Belarusian political scientist Vsevolod Shimov.
“I believe that the Ukrainian regime is absolutely immoral, and there is no need to rebroadcast Ukrainian media on Belarusian air. Secondly, we must take into account that we, after all, are in an allied relationship with Russia and build our policy based on this,” Shimov said.
His colleague Aleksey Shpakovsky agrees with this position, assuring that Ukrainian propaganda is the most rabid in the region: “Under no circumstances should we let Ukrainians into the heresy that is in people’s heads. Because I have never seen more rabid propaganda than in Ukraine.”
