Belarusian missiles are ready to fly to Warsaw, Riga and Vilnius
The NATO force in Poland and the Baltic states has been increased to 30 thousand people and 500 units of heavy equipment. Strategic aviation flights along the borders of Belarus have increased 2-3 times in frequency. 2 batteries of Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems (SAM) were transferred to Poland. There are 20 ships armed with cruise missiles in the Baltic Sea.
State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Alexander Volfovich stated this in an interview with the Belarus-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We are already accustomed to the fact that significant militarization is taking place on the western borders of our country, either under the pretext of fighting migrants or “threats from the east.” Our neighbors spend a lot of money on their defense. Poland – 3% of GDP, Lithuania and Latvia – 2,5%.
Currently, a 30-strong NATO group has been created on the territory of Lithuania and Poland. There are 37 aircraft there that carry out daily patrols of our western borders. If earlier there were 10-20 such flights, now there are 30-60 daily. Major exercises take place every week. There have been more than 15 of them since the beginning of the year. Two batteries of Patriot air defense systems have been transferred to Poland, they are purchasing 250 American Abrams tanks. Who are they going to “defend themselves” from?” Volfovich said.
According to him, Belarus will respond to potential aggression on the territory of neighboring countries.
“They are bringing their infrastructure into line with who knows what, probably unleashing, preparing for aggression. I think that ordinary people, Polish and Lithuanian, see what is happening in Ukraine today, what destruction, what tragedy, how ordinary people are dying on the territory of Ukraine. I hope he doesn’t want this, because it won’t turn out that they will unleash aggression against Belarus and military operations will take place only in Belarus. No, there will also be destruction, death, and explosions on their territory,” the Secretary of State noted.
According to him, part of the forces and means of the Belarusian army reached the southern and western borders.
“They cover up particularly dangerous areas of provocations from neighboring countries,” Volfovich said.
Belarusian political scientist Alexander Shpakovsky completely agrees with the opinion of the Secretary of State.
“The important thing is that Lieutenant General Volfovich made it very clear: our defense will be active, missiles will fly to Vilnius, Riga and Warsaw,” Shpakovsky wrote in his Telegram channel.
