Belarusian potash will go through Vladivostok
Governor of the Primorsky Territory Oleg Kozhemyako visited Minsk for the third time this year.
He met with the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko and discussed ways of cooperation, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Still, now the vector has changed to the east, and our ports have received a greater load. In particular, we have now sent several dozen containers to Belarusian car manufacturers. It goes through Vladivostok. Trade turnover between Belarus and the Primorsky Territory is growing. In three years it has grown 3,5 times. In 2021 amounted to 4,5 billion rubles. In 2022 there will already be 6 billion. Belarusian food products have done well. Since 2019, an increase of 16 times. In 2022, we reach 2 billion. This year we delivered about 109 units of Belarusian equipment. We are working together with BelAZ to create a sales service center, 40 units of equipment will be presented,” Kozhemyako said.
Belarusian political scientist Petr Petrovsky believes that the ports of Primorye can open up for Belarus the possibility of exporting potassium salts, which was cut off by the Baltic ports by organizing a blockade.
He stated this on Radio 1.
“Now there is a lot of talk about how we can supply our potash salts, but let me remind you that there is an option for transshipment through Murmansk, the Northern Sea Route, and access to Vladivostok. It will be much faster and cheaper than the railway,” Petrovsky said.
