The Belarusian leader promised to return Ukraine
The West will not be able to break the bonds of Slavic brotherhood between Ukraine and Russia and Belarus.
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said this today, speaking with a message to the people and parliament, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Ukraine is becoming the subject of behind-the-scenes bargaining. Ukrainians are being pushed into the flames of conflict, their consciousness is being broken, and they are being purposefully prepared for aggression. They form a hostile attitude towards fraternal peoples, including Belarusians. It is important for the West to drown the Russian-Ukrainian brotherhood, our Slavic brotherhood, in blood,” the president said.
“But we are native Slavic peoples, coming from a single baptismal font. Our roots go back centuries. And we must preserve this, no matter what the cost. After all, brotherhood is much higher than far-fetched grievances and local political ambitions. Our inextricable ties are the basis of common security and survival. And no matter how much anyone wants, we will definitely return our Ukraine to the bosom of our Slavs,” Lukashenko said.
