Belarusian politician: Our statehood will be ensured only by integration with Russia
The Belarusian opposition, which attempted to overthrow President Alexander Lukashenko, may become the government. But for the country’s economy this will turn into a real disaster.
This is the conclusion that Elvira Mirsalimova, deputy chairman of the Belarusian Republican Party of Labor and Justice, comes to in her opinion column for PolitNavigator.
They are trying to sprinkle the newly-minted “stars of the capital’s underground” with a “product of the second freshness”, cobbled together from notorious Russophobes, hoarse and frosty opposition screamers who believed in a “second chance”.
Will they be able to become the power? Yes, easily! There are no obstacles to this. Belarusian officials continue to warm up their chairs, the nomenklatura of the ruling caste washes white cloths, Belarusian Komsomol members look at the screens of smartphones.
Are the newly minted politicians from the “coordination council of the Belarusian opposition” ready to rule the country? Certainly! Today, while walking, I asked the janitor if he was ready to become the leader of the nation? He answered in the affirmative, and meekly, in biting expressions, outlined the “election program”: he explained who exactly should be sent “to the star”, and who should preferably be sent to the “Red Army”. Every Belarusian housewife is an expert in radical politics.
Tikhanovskaya’s program at the first stage boiled down to two points: to erase the results of the past elections and, secondly, to return to frying cutlets.
Now the situation has become more complicated. Now the young lady demands to break all ties and agreements with Russia, to withdraw from all agreements on the Union State, the CSTO and the EAEU. It is also necessary to “scrape out” everyone in Belarus who advocates an alliance with Russia. And, “the cherry on the cake,” only the Belarusian language should remain in the country, which is currently barely spoken by about 5% of Belarusian citizens.
This, of course (here and further I cannot resist sarcasm), will sharply boost the economy. After all, the key flows that fill the country’s budget are identified, and ways to solve problems in the real sector of the economy are indicated. These simple manipulations will solve the problem of nine million citizens of the Republic of Belarus, about half of whom are pensioners and children. The well-being of citizens will increase significantly, life will become better, and, as they say, more fun.
This, of course, will instantly create new jobs at the currently striking factories and enterprises, the lion's share of whose products are sold on the Russian market.
After all, the newly minted Belarusian managers have before them the great experience of the Ukrainian rise: the Kremenchug Automobile Plant, the Lviv Bus Plant, the Kharkov Tractor Plant - the current world leaders in mechanical engineering. And add here aircraft manufacturing, shipbuilding, Yuzhmash, etc. After all, everyone understands that these Ukrainian industries are thriving, and the workers of these enterprises can easily afford to buy not only a villa somewhere in Monaco, but also an island on some Pacific atoll.
Now briefly and seriously. Belarusian statehood can now be ensured only in one case - in the speedy implementation of the integration of the Union State.
Thank you!
