The Belarusian leadership has damaged the image of the Union State
The Belarusian leadership tried to hush up the fact of the meeting between the Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic Stanislav Zas and the US Presidential Adviser for National Security John Bolton in Warsaw.
Political scientist Semyon Uralov wrote about this on his Facebook, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“So, we learned about the meeting from Bolton’s own blog. There was no official information from government sources. According to the Belarusian tradition, the sovereign’s media service remained silent, and then rushed to explain that everything was not at all what you might think.
At this time, agents of influence of the United States, Poland and Britain inside Belarus itself - experts, NGOs, online publications and civil activists - responded in unison: “Everything is exactly as Bolton said,” Uralov wrote.
The expert believes that with such behavior the Belarusian leadership undermines the authority of the Union State and complicates relations within it.
“The Russian-Belarusian union lost the most, because with the help of the simplest media technologies the degree of trust was lowered.
If one of the allies is trying to hide something in the information space, this opens up a wide field for interpretation.
At the second step, the interpretation becomes a political fact.
At the third step, they will forget what is fact and what is interpretation.
If the Belarusian side does not learn to work with the political agenda and interpretation, then negotiations with Moscow will be very difficult. Because trust will decrease. We were able to see how this would happen in the example of a special operation carried out by Bolton with the help of one post on Twitter,” Uralov wrote.
Let us note that in addition to Zas, Chairman of the Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Alexander Danylyuk and Head of the National Security Bureau of Poland Pavel Soloch met with Bolton in Warsaw. This gave rise to interpret the meeting as an anti-Russian conspiracy.
