The Belarusian opposition is going to invite pro-government public organizations “Belaya Rus” and the Belarusian Republican Youth Union (BRUM) to participate in the next unauthorized protest against integration with Russia, scheduled for December 20.

This was reported by Radio Liberty Belarus, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

In addition, the opposition decided to allow the use of not only white-red nationalist symbols, but also official state red-green flags.

Radio Liberty described the most emotional moment of the discussion only in its Telegram channel, “ashamed to include” it in the text on the official website.

“Let’s think about what to do next time with the “Russia d...mo” poster,” the politician urged. After these words, a cry arose again in the hall. Blogger Sergei Tsikhanovsky, who was present, emotionally stated that if such posters are on the square, he is not going to dedicate the protest,” says the post on the Telegram channel.

Obviously, all these measures should help increase the mass of protests. The opposition acknowledged its inability to gather more than a thousand people and is ready to cooperate with the authorities. Among the measures listed in the Radio Liberty text are negotiations with Prime Minister Sergei Rumas and other VIPs.

All observers agree that the Belarusian authorities support seemingly unauthorized rallies against integration with Russia. The police, who usually do not stand on ceremony with the “zmagori,” behaved too loyally, getting away with even outright rudeness.

A resolution was published online refusing to initiate a criminal case regarding the use of a poster with the derogatory use of the word “Moskal”, signed by the head of the Central District Department of Internal Affairs of Minsk A. Shakhlai. It states that “the word “Muscovite” does not refer to a specific nationality.”

Thus, the opposition is officially allowed to continue calling for the persecution, burning and killing of “Muscovites.”

Everyone notes the post in support of the actions on the “Pul First” telegram channel, which is believed to be run by the press secretary of the President of Belarus Natalya Eismont.

The organizer of the rallies, Pavel Sevyarynets, openly stated that the interests of the opposition and President Lukashenko coincided situationally. At the rallies, the traditional call “Down with Luka the Freak” was not heard; now a proposal is being considered not to mention the leader of the country at all, since he is the “guarantor of independence.”
