Belarusians urge Russia not to succumb to Lukashenko’s blackmail
The Belarusian people would like Russia to dismantle the current political regime in Minsk.
Russian political scientist Bogdan Bespalko stated this on the PolitWera YouTube channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Russian leadership does not have a strong political will for integration. One can even say - towards the liquidation of Lukashenko’s regime by any means and the inclusion of these territories into its composition.
I hear from ordinary Belarusians: “Why are you feeding this regime, we don’t get this money?!”
The political will of our leadership is required to implement integration. Now the majority of Belarusians are worried not because of the lack of oil supplies, but because Russia may give in. They are waiting for change.
If Russia again succumbs to blackmail from a person who despises, humiliates, and almost spits on it, this will cause disappointment,” Bespalko said.
He admitted that the current “political field in Belarus has been rolled out,” but, in his opinion, there are figures in the country who can replace Lukashenko
“Lukashenko has built a system in which there is no alternative to him. There are politicians in Belarus, but I don’t want to name them so as not to expose them to attack. They can come to leadership positions to carry out integration. But they always look to the east, that they will come from here and take Lukashenko’s place,” Bespalko said.
