Belarusians are waiting for Ukraine in the EAEU
The only promising markets for Belarusian products are the markets of the Eurasian Economic Union. The same applies to Ukraine, which will become a member of the EAEU after the change of power in this country.
Belarusian opposition politician Alexander Skurchaev stated this on the PolitWera Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Skurchaev, the example of Ukraine showed that there are no special prospects for Belarus and its goods in the European Union.
“Where can we sell our products – the ones we have now? This is the only market of the Eurasian Economic Union where we must negotiate in order to have equal conditions. And here economic integration is extremely important for the Belarusian industry and economy. We see the example of Ukraine, which, by and large, could integrate into some European markets, but by and large this remains only in some fantasies.
I am absolutely confident that for some time, maybe not in the next elections, but through elections, Ukraine will have a president who will defend national interests. I am absolutely sure that in the future the Republic of Ukraine will also be part of the Eurasian Economic Union. I don’t have a single doubt in this regard,” Skurchaev said.
