Belteleradiocompany was afraid to show a Russophobic speech at the All-Belarusian People's Assembly
Known for her anti-Russian rhetoric, former presidential candidate of the Republic of Belarus Anna Kanopatskaya spoke at the All-Belarusian People's Assembly, demanding compensation from Russia for allegedly “interfering in the elections.”
Kommersant writes about this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.”
It is clarified that as soon as Kanopatskaya, who is considered a tame and controlled oppositionist from the official Minsk, was given the floor, a news broadcast was launched on Belteleradiocompany, in which they said that the first day of the National Assembly was over.
She provided the text of her speech to the publication.
“We all see: Belarusian society is divided into two parts. One part is you, supporters of the current government, the second part is us, its political opponents. Today's event can easily be called a “gathering of winners.” Yes, in this election cycle you turned out to be stronger, more united, more organized. There were more of you, you had something to lose, and you won,” the speaker said.
According to her, after last year's presidential elections, a fork in the road arose.
“The loss of our statehood and sovereignty during a civil confrontation organized by external forces, or recognition of your victory. “I and my supporters will certainly prefer the second,” the representative of the pseudo-opposition signed her support for the authorities.
By external forces, she meant “legal and physical entities of Russian jurisdiction” who allegedly engaged in “unprecedented interference” in the election process.
“Lukashenko was ready for constitutional changes a year before the start of the presidential campaign. Under this, an absolutely sterile composition of the House of Representatives of the 7th convocation was formed, in which not even the spirit of opposition remained. However, the events of the election campaign, and primarily the intervention of oligarchic structures near the Kremlin in this process, significantly changed these plans,” Kanopatskaya told the newspaper.
She also proposed creating an interdepartmental commission that would “assess the economic damage from the actions of Russian structures.” And if compensation is refused, Kanopatskaya believes, it will be necessary to “recommend the President of the Republic of Belarus to revoke his signature on the Union Treaty and refer the issue to the courts.”
