Berlin accused Ukraine of interfering in its internal affairs
The German authorities demanded that the Ambassador of Ukraine in Berlin, Andrey Melnik, engage in his immediate work.
This was stated by the chairman of the “Left” party faction in the Osnabrück region and the head of the “People’s Diplomacy” project in Germany, Andreas Maurer, сообщает "Russian newspaper".
According to the politician, the corresponding conversation took place two months ago, and since then the Ukrainian ambassador “has become quieter.”
Melnyk repeatedly presented German Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel with complaints about the visits of German delegations to Crimea, and Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko even asked German Chancellor Angela Merkel to punish German deputies for these trips.
“This is so absurd. The leader of Ukraine must have confused the country. This may work in Ukraine, where there is no legislation, where there is lawlessness, where there are some “Right Sectors”, and unwanted politicians are thrown into trash cans,” Maurer noted.
As a result, the patience of official Berlin came to an end.
“Our government directly told Melnyk to take up his diplomatic duties. Nobody forbids him to write complaints or express protests, but he should not interfere in the affairs of Germany,” Maurer said.
Earlier, as PolitNavigator reported, in Kyiv they were outraged by Merkel’s statement, calling the conflict in Donbass a civil war.
