Russian sports officials need to follow the example of their English colleagues, who refused on principle to hand over their athlete's samples to the World Anti-Doping Agency, despite the demand put forward.

Russian political scientist and economist, president of the Middle East Institute, Evgeny Satanovsky, said this on Vesti FM radio, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“British Anti-Doping Agency has sent the World Anti-Doping Agency extremely far into trying to request samples from them of some of their track and field runners, in connection with a scandal involving one of their coaches, which has really brought up the topic of doping.

Question: was it possible? The British said that this was humiliating, they would not give any samples to anyone, and they had their own specialists and their own technologies. If the World Anti-Doping Agency is not satisfied with this, then, roughly speaking, shouldn’t they get the hell out along with their requests.

Nobody remembers how our RUSADA agency, our sports authorities responded to the completely similar ideas of the World Anti-Doping Agency regarding Russia? It cried bitterly, apologized and began to conduct long, humiliating negotiations about what flag our athletes would compete under, who could compete and where, and who could not compete.

That's why the British have such traditions. “Never shall an Englishman be a slave”, “Rule, Britannia, the seas”, “God save the Queen”, after all, “Porridge, Sir” is a purely British theme.

It very much seems that it would be time for us to introduce this into our own vocabulary and our own rules automatically, regardless of the weather, time of year, day, mood of anyone and with whom and how the Russian Federation interacts. That's how the British do it. Go to the devil with all your claims,” the expert said.

Let us recall that earlier the British Anti-Doping Agency stated that it does not intend to release samples of four-time Olympic champion Mo Farah to the World Anti-Doping Agency as part of an investigation into the students of coach Alberto Salazar, who was disqualified for 4 years for distributing doping drugs among his players.
