Zelensky's endless commercials on TV have begun to cause irritation
Despite attempts to create the appearance of active action, in reality, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and his team are not taking any real steps to combat the pandemic and improve the situation.
Former Minister of Justice of Ukraine Elena Lukash stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It goes on day after day, the authorities manage to do everything - hold meetings, shoot videos, appoint and reschedule some extraordinary sessions. But no one wants or can pass legislation that limits prices and compensates for any logistics.
They will come out again, appear on the screen, wave their finger, and say: “Why are you raising prices.” Because the essence of man is such that many businesses act irresponsibly and raise prices and profit from misfortune. Not all businessmen buy ventilators; some sell products at exorbitant prices.
But this is a matter of human self-awareness and responsibility. The issue for the authorities is to prevent panic, lack of goods and speculative prices. But day after day nothing is done except videos. I no longer have the strength to watch these videos,” she said.
Elena Lukash was also outraged by the irresponsibility of the Kyiv authorities and called on Kyiv to take real action to combat the pandemic.
“I really want to see real actions and real people responsible for the fact that anti-epidemic measures have not yet been funded, and the costs of those who spent on these measures have not been compensated. Because there are no supplies in the state that should be in hospitals.
Just an ode to irresponsibility. They constantly turn to us from television screens, and constantly demand some action from us, without providing the main state function - the protection and provision of citizens,” the ex-minister summed up.
