“Helplessness”: Donbass assessed the failure of the withdrawal of troops by Zelensky
Today’s statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine on the cancellation, under the pretext of certain shelling, of the start of the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops planned within the framework of the Minsk agreements from the front line in Donbass - evidence of the “helplessness and incompetence” of official Kyiv.
This is stated in a statement by the head of the Central Executive Committee of the Social Movement “Donetsk Republic” Alexey Muratov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Ukrainian government has once again shown its helplessness and incompetence. The “warriors of light” are not going to carry out the orders of Commander-in-Chief Zelensky, which they demonstrated by occupying residential buildings and objects in Zolote. But, after hundreds of Azov militants settled there and declared that they didn’t give a damn about any disengagement of the parties, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Vadim Prystaiko announced the postponement of the start of the withdrawal of forces in the Donbass due to a violation of the truce, for which the DPR and LPR were to blame .
We do not deny that violations of the truce occur regularly, but the initiators are the armed formations of Ukraine, and not vice versa. Moreover, on our side, civilians, settlements, residential buildings and infrastructure suffer.
And just yesterday, October 6, journalists from the Russian information center “Izvestia” came under fire from the Ukrainian Federal Military Unit in the front-line village of Kominternovo, when they arrived to film houses destroyed due to shelling. It was only thanks to the professional actions of the Republic’s military personnel that the film crews were safely evacuated from the shelling zone, and casualties were avoided.
Let me remind you that today preparatory measures were supposed to begin to eliminate violations of the Framework Decision on the disengagement of forces and assets at the pilot sites in Petrovsky and Zolotoye in accordance with the plan agreed upon in Minsk. For their part, the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics informed the OSCE representatives about the location of their positions on the territory of these areas and were ready to move on to the next point.
The schedule for the disengagement of forces near the settlements of Zolotoye and Petrovskoye was agreed upon by members of the contact group at a meeting in Minsk on October 2. The withdrawal of troops is one of the conditions for holding the Normandy Four summit,” Muratov notes.
