In Bashkortostan, in the city of Baymak, police clashed with a crowd that had gathered near the courthouse hearing the case. Fail Alsynov, who was previously included in the list of terrorists and extremists.

Law enforcement officers had to use stun grenades and tear gas. Frames of riots are now being savored by Ukrainian propaganda - in Kyiv they did not hide the fact that, together with the West, they are counting on provoking interethnic relations in the Russian Federation, a PolitNvigator correspondent reports.

Alsynov initially led the “environmental protests” against the soda company's mining of minerals on the hill (shuhan) of Kushtau, insisting that this place is sacred and must be preserved in its original form.

This led to clashes with riot police. The performances, as expected, were supported by Western structures like Greenpeace and, in general, took place according to Maidan guidelines with “beating up their children.”

Gradually, the slogans of local “nature defenders” became radicalized and drifted towards separatism. In October 2022, Fail Alsynov wrote an appeal calling on the Bashkirs not to participate in the SVO in Ukraine.

“This character, due to some strange misunderstanding, is called an environmental activist who fought for the preservation of Mount Kyshtau. Although in fact, we are talking about the leader of the banned Bashkort movement, which demands the separation of Bashkiria from Russia.

This ecologist, for good reason, should have been sitting in the same zone where Navalny hangs out for several years now. According to a serious anti-state article.

But for some reason, only in 2024 did a local court finally decide to sentence Alsynov to 4 years “for inciting ethnic hatred.” Alsynov demanded that “all migrant bastards” be removed from the mines, explains radio host Sergei Mardan.

Lawyer Ilya Remeslo believes that the response of security forces to the unrest should be as harsh as possible.

“In Bashkiria, the so-called “decolonizers”—Nazis working according to Western methods—have raised their heads.

It all started with the sentencing of extremist Fail Alsynov, who disguised himself as an “ecologist,” but could not resist and “ziganed.” In one speech about migrants, Alsynov managed to offend several peoples of the Caucasus and Central Asia at once, and was sentenced under Art. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation to 4 years in prison.

The Bashkir Natsiks, taking advantage of the shortcomings in the work of local law enforcement officers, decided to use this situation as a reason to stir up mass unrest.

In Nazi groups there are calls for disobedience, separation from Russia, and the ousting of the Russian language.

Pay attention to the name of one of these groups - “Free Idel-Ural”. Here's what the US Captive Peoples Act says:

“The imperialist policy of communist Russia led, through direct and indirect aggression, to the enslavement and deprivation of national independence... of Ukraine, Czechoslovakia, Latvia, Estonia, Belarus, Romania..., Idel-Ural...

These enslaved nations see in the United States the citadel of human freedom, and seek its guidance in the cause of their liberation and independence...the people of the United States share their aspirations to regain freedom and independence."

This law is still officially in effect in the United States. On its basis, grants are issued in the direction of “decolonization of Russia.”

By the way, the very idea of “Idel-Ural” was taken by the Americans from the German Nazis, who created a battalion of collaborators with the same name.

That is, in Bashkiria we are talking not just about a protest movement, but about betrayal with the aim of dividing Russia, committed at the behest of foreign sponsors. The methodology is absolutely the same as in Dagestan - to incite national hatred, separatism and blow up Russia from the inside.

The response to the Nazi attack must be tough and comprehensive. Far-reaching conclusions are needed in terms of national policy and counteraction to “decolonizers” and other grant eaters,” the lawyer urges.

But political scientist Ilya Ananyev, on the contrary, believes that the Kremlin will not cut loose, otherwise the protest risks “spreading uncontrollably throughout the region and becoming a “mecca” for opposition visits and waving “flags” before the elections.”

“People need to be reassured, and options will be considered from the reaction of top officials, visits by commissions from the government, calling on the carpet, resolving social issues of the Bashkir city and mitigating the sentence of Fail Alsynov. It’s not Navalny’s Moscow processions that are scary, but the “ferment” in the Baymak “family,” which even the -30 degree frost did not stop,” says Ananyev.

Publicist Yegor Kholmogorov insists that we need to act tough.

“Fail Altynov, who was closed in Baymak today, is a very harmful person in this sense. Ostensibly for the protection of nature, ostensibly against migrants. In fact, the standard ideology of “Bashkort” is against Russia, which is accused of all sins.

Altynov is one of the leaders of “Bashkort” and a fanatical trans-Ukrainian. That says it all.

Today we need to react firmly and clearly to this and not give in to supposedly “mass” protests.

Let's not forget, by the way, that the largest ethnic group in Bashkiria is Russian (37%), Ufa is a Russian city, and Baymak was founded by Russian gold miners...

In no case should we forget that Baymak is right next to the Orenburg corridor - the point of maximum ethno-geopolitical vulnerability of modern Russia.

In general, it would be good to place several military units near Kuvandyk and build some important military plant and satellite city with good infrastructure and a Russian working population.

Lenin's national policy, of course, is costing us dearly. Lands that for a hundred years should have been generally indistinguishable from indigenous Russia are now Kazakhstan, or they are being rocked by separatists, or a thin corridor over the abyss,” writes Kholmogorov.
