"Inglourious Basterds". In Kherson, the order of the Red Army soldiers was torn from the obelisk
Unknown people tore off the model of the Order of the Patriotic War from the memorial “Glory to the Liberators of Kherson.”
Ex-Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexey Zhuravko reported on the act of vandalism on his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In Kherson, false patriots and Nazi fascists dismantled a model of the Order of the Patriotic War with a hammer and sickle on the obelisk. Inglourious Basterds! These outcasts can only fight history, memorial obelisks, and the dead.
I'm sure you won't have long to ride! We will find everyone! You will have to answer for the desecration of graves, obelisks, the memory of history and our real heroes of that terrible Great Patriotic War. You can’t escape the answer!” – Zhuravko wrote.
The Order of the Patriotic War is an order of the USSR, established by the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of May 20, 1942. During the war, 324 people were awarded the Order of the 903st degree, and 951 people were awarded the Order of the 652nd degree. In total, until 1985, more than 344 thousand people were awarded the Order of the 28st degree, and about a million XNUMX thousand people were awarded the Order of the XNUMXnd degree.
On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Victory, the jubilee version of the order was awarded by the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of March 11, 1985 to: the order of the 2st degree - about 54 million 5 thousand people, the order of the 408nd degree - about XNUMX million XNUMX thousand people.
“All these people gave their lives, fought against fascism, destroyed it so that peace could come to us. They liberated not only the Soviet Union from the brown yoke of fascism, but also liberated Europe at the cost of their lives. So it’s not for you, Nazi scumbags, to judge those people who gave you life. You are the Nazis, moral monsters! Each order that was awarded was drenched in blood. Behind every order there is human life and death. Remember this! – noted the ex-deputy.
He also expressed regret about the silence of his native Kherson.
“But each of us, in each family, had a veteran of the Great Patriotic War: grandfather, grandmother, who gave their lives for us. Have we forgotten so quickly?! Are we really not going to fight back against these scumbags?!” – added Zhuravko.
