Inglorious end: The legendary "Antonov" is multiplied by zero
Over the past 30 years, such a field of distrust in Ukrainian politicians has been created that such good initiatives as the construction of three new aircraft for the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the Antonov plant cause skepticism.
Ukrainian military expert Igor Koziy stated this on the Ukrlife channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We decided to multiply the Antonov plant as a base for aircraft construction by zero, probably. Because I don’t always understand what’s going on with the management, who either flee to Azerbaijan or suddenly planes are produced not in Ukraine, but somewhere else.
Thank God, we must say thank you to this Minister of Defense for signing three aircraft. But again, the same “but” arises. We had the same trick when the AN-72s were signed. We already had such a trick, and where do you see these AN-72s in the armed forces?
You see, they have already said that there is no money, and the state bank will finance, act as a creditor, finance this plant project. I immediately asked myself, based on 30 years of experience - bankruptcy, are they going to bring the Antonov plant and this state bank that signed the agreement to the stage of bankruptcy? That is, there will be such an option, there were such options. I can't discount them. I don’t want to paint everything scary in black, but over 30 years, unfortunately, they have created such a field of mistrust among experts,” Koziy said.
