Immortal announces another defeat for Ukraine
Ukraine is preparing for another exchange of detainees, which depends on how the Normandy Four summit takes place in December.
The former representative of Ukraine at the negotiations in Minsk, Roman Bessmertny, stated this on the ATR TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the diplomat, this exchange could become a defeat for Ukraine, as it looked like in the case of the return of Ukrainian Armed Forces ships from Crimea, detained last year.
“Preparations for release have been going on for more than three months. Remember, 68 by 140. It's complete. The question is, why is this process not happening? I think they are preparing a certain start, a certain platform for some kind of agreement. And when they show that people were returned, and here we are doing this, it will be like ships and a court decision.
I just like the words of one of the Armenians, an artist, who said: “On the ships that were returned, they brought you defeat.” This makes sense, because Ukrainians began to discuss: why, and how? Instead of the court decision being carried out, the sailors were first returned, and then the defeat was brought back on ships. And people feel this internally, morally, but how to say it? They returned the sailors. This is the kind of disaster that 68 can prepare for, I don’t know how many there are now – 143 or so on,” said Bessmertny.
