Immortal scares the president with an armed population
Not a single president of Ukraine will be able to turn the country’s course towards Russia, because a population armed to the teeth is looking at his back.
Ex-presidential candidate and Ukrainian diplomat Roman Bessmertny said this on air on the ZIK TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, besides this, the president does not have the authority to sharply reverse course.
“Whoever is elected president in Ukraine, he does not have the capabilities and there are no mechanisms that would deploy the shafts now. There is one thing that few people pay attention to - today the Ukrainian people are armed. Obviously, no matter what kind of president comes, he will not be allowed to do this. Moreover, he has neither constitutional nor legal powers and mechanisms for this,” Bessmertny said.
