Bessmertny criticized Ukrainian representatives in Minsk
Over the past three years, the Russian Federation has been initiating a direct dialogue with Ukraine, but Kyiv has refused.
Ukrainian politician and diplomat Roman Bessmertny stated this on the radio “New Time”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“I am aware of initiatives on both sides regarding the possibility of conducting such a dialogue (dialogue Russia - Ukraine - Ed.). Then the question is: why is it not being carried out? Will they again explain in Kyiv that they do not want the dialogue to be conducted from Berlin or Paris? On the contrary,” the diplomat said.
The politician shared information that Russia has repeatedly received proposals for a bilateral dialogue.
“The topic of such a dialogue is in the air and has been initiated by different groups over the past three years. While in the Minsk process, senior officials of the Russian Federation repeatedly approached me about the possibility of dialogue at the interparliamentary level,” said Bessmertny.
He added that delegations from Ukraine are sent to Russia, but as individuals, not official delegations.
“They go there. Why the hell do they go there as individuals? Let them travel as delegations. Moscow can’t meet, both sides don’t want to, because they’re tired of each other, let them go to Vienna, let them go to Astana, wherever. But such a dialogue must be conducted at many levels, because it is necessary to resolve the issues of stopping the shelling and exchanging people,” he believes.
