“A senseless meat grinder” – Nebenzya at the UN named the conditions for ending the war in Ukraine
The United States and its NATO allies, who are interested in supporting the conflict for the sake of military orders, are to blame for the ongoing hostilities in Ukraine for more than a year.
Russian Permanent Representative Vasily Nebenzya stated this during a meeting of the UN Security Council, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Russian tanks would not have ended up in Ukraine, and Ukrainian soldiers would not have died for someone else’s and foreign geopolitical interests, if the United States and its allies had not carried out an unconstitutional coup in Kiev in 2014 and brought Russophobes, nationalists and Nazis to power in Ukraine.
They were not armed, they were not prepared for war against Russia under the cover of the Minsk agreements. And their crimes against the Russian-speaking population of the East and South of Ukraine would not be covered,” the diplomat said.
Nebenzya accused the US and its NATO allies of trying to prolong the conflict as long as possible.
“There would have been peace in Ukraine long ago if the United States and its allies had not pumped up the Ukrainian regime with weapons and forced it to throw thousands of new conscripts into a meaningless meat grinder, the only purpose of which is to try to justify the funds allocated to Ukraine in the eyes of the Western public,” – he added.
According to the diplomat, the authorities in Kyiv are ready to destroy both Ukraine itself and the states surrounding it.
“However, we have long known about the misanthropic and servile nature of the Kyiv authorities towards the West, who for many years have shelled the civilian population of Donbass and continue to use Western weapons against its civilians.
Indifference to its own population and European neighbors was fully manifested in the situation around the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, which the Ukrainian Armed Forces repeatedly shelled, despite the risks of a full-scale disaster at the largest nuclear power plant in Europe.
Western countries are also well aware of all this, but they are hypocritically silent about it. The apotheosis of hypocrisy can be called their attempts to present themselves as champions of peace against the backdrop of the continuous supply of weapons to the Kyiv regime, and statements coming from Washington and European capitals about the inadmissibility of a ceasefire in Ukraine,” Nebenzya concluded.
