Without European and American friends, Ukraine would have defaulted, - Yatsenyuk

“I won’t talk about trillions of dollars in debt. If we did not receive international financial assistance, the country would be in default,” Yatsenyuk said, emphasizing the merit of “European and American friends.”
“You can’t survive on loans alone,” the prime minister recalled, noting that Europe has opened its markets to Ukrainian producers.
“Earn 500 million euros. But the doors won't stay open forever. We need to carry out long-term reforms. Make the Ukrainian economic model adapted to the European one,” Yatsenyuk said.
“The East depends on the Russian market. No one will go to Russia with an outstretched hand. We have bilateral agreements. You signed them, and the Great Treaty as well. But we don’t need these fraternal relations, otherwise we are always lesser brothers. Equal relations,” Yatsenyuk said.
“We’ll somehow sort it out ourselves with the relatives. Fulfill what you signed, and we will fulfill it,” the Prime Minister said.
