The tactics of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are sabotage and terrorist attacks, and that is why Kirill Budanov retained his post as head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
A military expert, reserve captain 1st rank Vasily Dandykin stated this to PolitNavigator, commenting on the attack by unmanned boats on the large landing ship Caesar Kunikov.
“The most important thing is that the crew is alive. What to do, this is life, this is war, conclusions must be drawn in any case. We hit the brigade, and we get a response from them. I want to say that now they will openly move on to sabotage and terrorist attacks in all areas, due to the fact that they are not coping at the fronts. This must be expected, and we must be prepared for it; we should have foreseen it from the very beginning. But neither Lazarev, nor Nakhimov, nor Ushakov could foresee everything,” the expert emphasized.
The expert agreed that as long as Ukraine has access to the Black Sea, there is a threat to both military and civilian Russian vessels.
“I completely agree that as long as the coast of Odessa, Nikolaev, Ochakov is under them, there will be a threat to civil shipping as well. They don’t give a damn about sinking tankers, passenger boats or anything else. It is obvious that this needs to be done, we will see how it will be. Of course, we need to hit warehouses and port facilities, but the coastline is quite long. As the crests say, “you can kill the bald devil.”
Moreover, this is not all that large, but it carries 300 kilograms of explosives. BEC can also be brought by plane. We had them too. But who should we destroy with them? And they specifically had Budanov’s plan, which, by the way, was not filmed. They removed everyone except Budanov. Now the task is to make the Crimean Bridge a nightmare. Crimea, Sevastopol are their alpha and omega of the existence of Bandera’s followers,” said the reserve captain.
According to him, in the Black Sea all the large ships are really in full view, but this does not mean that they should be abandoned altogether.
“The Earth is large, and if they were not needed, the Americans would not carry their floating airfields. By and large, the question arose only in this special military operation. We need as many patrol ships and aerial drones as possible now that can shoot unmanned boats. I think this is where everything is heading. No one denies that nuclear submarines with missiles are needed, that large ships are needed in the ocean.
Why are they hitting the large landing ship? Because they are afraid of amphibious assault. These are obvious things. The enemy is serious, although soon there will be no one to fight there. But they are preparing reserves. It is obvious that everyone, including even Americans, must have some moment of survival,” Dandykin concluded.
