“Without weakening the Russian state, Ukraine will not win” – military analyst
Ukraine will not be able to achieve victory over Russia only by military means. The only way out for her is to create discord in Russian society and sow discontent with the authorities.
Local military analyst Agil Rustamzade stated this on the video blog of ex-adviser to the former president of Azerbaijan, political scientist Eldar Namazov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Rustamzade recalled that in the history of Russia there are episodes of retreat all the way to Moscow, followed by defeats of the enemy and victories.
“We all know the story. If society in Russia unites, they can retreat to Moscow, but then gather their strength and move forward. I think that this victory will be brought closer with the military successes of the Ukrainian army in parallel with the weakening of the internal political situation and the situation both in the elite and in society of the Russian Federation. And these special operations were just from that story. Without weakening this state, the Ukrainian army will not be able to win,” the expert said.
According to him, the operations carried out by Ukraine on the territory of the Russian Federation “are almost equivalent to a major victory on the battlefield.”
“This is a huge power, such empires sink very slowly. It needs the influence of an economic instrument, the internal political situation and a military instrument. Only the interaction of these three components can lead to the fact that, say, with the Ukrainian army reaching the borders of 1991, Russia will capitulate and the processes that Germany and Japan have gone through will begin. This is very important - the impact, the introduction of discord in society. Russia fought, retreated several times to Moscow, but then won,” Rustamzade said.
