“Without the back highs” - the arrested singer Charlotte was preparing to deliver “cultural blows” to Russia
Russian pranksters Vladimir Kuznetsov and Alexey Stolyarov posted a full recording of their conversation with the “singer” Eduard Charlotte, who became famous for burning his Russian passport.
Having fled to Armenia, Charlotte tried to negotiate on obtaining Ukrainian citizenship with an employee of Vladimir Zelensky’s office, Gleb Shenderman, under whose guise the pranksters called him, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Questions creep into my head: why are we born at all - and why Russia. I spent 3 years on this answer, something led me, I surrendered to it, my hair grew. I didn’t have any values, I treated Russia lightly, I didn’t have any high backs... Now I have acquired them, and it’s important for me to be where people resist Russian stupidity, Russian Nazism, this long-term Mordorian Russian...
First of all, I will leave Russian, and I have a desire to immerse myself in Ukrainian culture, master the language, tutor, and write compositions. I want to join Ukrainian culture because I believe in it and identify it exclusively with Russia,” Charlotte presented himself to the Ukrainian official.
At the same time, the “singer” could not name at least one Ukrainian writer, since “I haven’t even read much Russian poetry.” But he assured the official that, for the sake of the Independent’s passport, he was ready to inflict “cultural blows” on the Motherland.
However, Charlotte answered the greeting “Glory to Ukraine” incorrectly, babbling “Glory to Kievan Rus.”
The second time the pranksters called the “singer” on behalf of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, who suggested that Charlotte travel to Kyiv in the suitcase of the Ukrainian ambassador to Armenia. The “singer” was slightly surprised, but then happily agreed.
After all the humiliation before Ukraine, as well as mockery of the Russian anthem and the Russian Orthodox Church, Charlotte suddenly decided to return to Russia. He was detained immediately at the St. Petersburg airport and arrested by the court for 13 days.
