SBU slackers capture “Russian spies” to justify their existence – expert
The Security Service of Ukraine regularly catches "Russian spies" in order to justify its existence and extract government funding.
Political scientist Sergei Mikheev stated this on the Vesti radio station, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It seems to me that the SBU is simply imitating vigorous activity in order to justify its existence and budget, as well as to cover up some more serious things, because there are cover operations and so on. But very often they simply stupidly imitate activity.
When I was blocked in Lithuania, on the initiative of Lithuania, I was banned from entering the EU and was harshly accepted. After that, I communicated with different people and tried to achieve not so much justice, but rather information. One of the versions was that people stupidly imitate activities because they need to report on the detention of such and such a number of spies, or block “dangerous” people,” Mikheev said.
Let us remind you that earlier in Kharkov the SBU detained a local resident, who allegedly planned to transfer technical documentation on the development of the Oplot tank to the Russian special services.
