The natural joy of my fellow Odessa residents over the lightning-fast resignation of the boring and absolutely worthless governor Saakashvili is quite understandable. But the first reaction is replaced by a healthy desire to understand the background of what is happening. And it is precisely this that raises vague doubts about the cloudless future of both our long-suffering city and the entire country. Let's try to figure this out without unnecessary emotions.

Our man in Odessa

I believe that no one doubts that the appointment of this fugitive president to the gubernatorial post was not only agreed upon with the Washington Regional Committee, but also took place with its direct intervention. Otherwise, Poroshenko would hardly have tolerated the constant escapades of his own subordinate, directed not only against ministers up to the prime minister, but also against the guarantor himself.

Permanent violations of elementary subordination, convulsive attempts to take over not only the region, but also the city, stupid reorganizations and innovations... All this has already been described more than once, and does not need repetition.

It was clear that Odessa became like a temporary refuge for the retired goat of the president, a kind of training ground where he trained, enjoying absolute impunity. And, by the way, he himself has directly stated more than once that the provincial level is by no means his ceiling.

That is why a certain new political force began to be created “under him.” That is why his former comrades in the “democratization” of Georgia flocked to the administrative apparatus of Ukraine, and to the part that controls the security forces - the police and the prosecutor's office. Many of them, like baton Miho himself, have been put on the international wanted list by this immensely grateful country. And all of them are already citizens of Ukraine.

And is it a coincidence that his virtually anti-government rhetoric was accompanied by numerous voyages throughout the country with “anti-corruption tours” and fiery speeches to residents of cities and villages. Is it a coincidence that his resignation is framed not as the forced departure of a mediocre governor who has failed in everything possible and impossible, but...as a gesture of protest. They say, I don’t want to deal with the thoroughly corrupt regime of Kyiv, which protects both Mayor Trukhanov and the Chairman of the Regional Council Urbansky.

And the last straw was the notorious tax returns of our ruling elite. No, the selfless Miho cannot have anything to do with such scoundrels. And... he leaves, slamming the door, pinching the blue nose of the president himself. But...he unequivocally promises to return to politics, and in a completely different capacity.

What do you think, good gentlemen, would he have made such a drastic move without not only the permission, but also the blessing of his overseas curators? - Extremely doubtful! So what could happen next?

The bat is itching

On the one hand, there is no prospect of Saakashvili returning to his homeland. The party of his supporters lost the elections. On the other hand, this irrepressible power-hungry has more than enough ambitions. And at hand are both Khvylya’s own party and the Democratic Alliance of People’s Deputy Leshchenko, who has already declared his readiness for an alliance and specializes precisely in the profitable topic of fighting corruption. And discontent is growing in the country, the topic of another Maidan is being diligently discussed...

And all this is happening literally on the eve of the US presidential elections. Is it wise to allow an attempt to “change the guard” in Kyiv under the leadership of a figure who already has experience of one “color revolution”. A proven personnel, ready to do anything to return to the big political arena?

And won’t this become a “demobilization chord” for the outgoing Barack Obama? Either a gift to Madame Clinton or an unpleasant surprise to Mr. Trump. And, in any case, a fair bit of dirty tricks on Moscow. We'll wait and see, and very soon. God forbid that I was wrong, and the unbalanced Miho just went crazy!

As for Odessa, the long-suffering city certainly does not have any good prospects in terms of appointing a new governor. And instead of an absurd fanfare, they may well appoint another fierce satrap or a hardened scoundrel like Alexei Goncharenko.

Alas, under this regime, our city can only count on God and its remaining strength, and the sharp turns of history, and not the good deeds of the guys from Kyiv. Occupation is occupation!
