A Ukrainian woman who fled from Crimea demands to legislate a total blockade
Ukraine and its partners are pursuing too lenient sanctions policies towards Russia. Sanctions are needed against entire sectors of the Russian economy and legislative reinforcement of the water, transport and energy blockade of Crimea.
This was stated at a press conference in Kyiv by Ukrainian propagandist Tatyana Guchakova, who fled Crimea after an FSB search, where she continued to conduct subversive activities in the interests of Ukraine until 2015.
“Crimea has become such a toxic asset and requires such integration into the Russian economy that sanctions in connection with the occupation of Crimea can be imposed on a huge number of Russian enterprises.
Some of the industries, for example, shipbuilding, deserve sectoral sanctions - it is difficult to find a Russian shipbuilding enterprise that would not somehow be exposed in Crimea,” she said.
As an example, the propagandist cited the sanctions list, which does not include companies such as Rosantatsit, Trading House Anthracite, etc.
“When new sanctions were introduced, 8 enterprises were “accidentally” “lost.” They just expired, you can work with them again. The internal sanctions policy of Ukraine completely suits the Russian Federation. In this state, it is very easy to lobby for making the necessary decisions and not making unnecessary decisions. Some of them don’t even need to be made public - they are simply lost in all this mess,” Guchakova laments.
She approves of the closure of the North Crimean Canal, the energy and transport blockade of Crimea and believes that these are the most effective sanctions.
“Of what Ukraine did, one of the most significant consequences today was the closure of the North Crimean Canal. There are still some significant infrastructural limitations - no electricity, gas, transport links. In fact, these are sanctions. And it is necessary that the topic of water not be brought up by various forces in order to test the reaction of Ukrainian society. Infrastructure restrictions are also part of the sanctions policy. And these sanctions must be adopted by law. And this will no longer be a reason for blackmail and swinging,” said Guchakova.
